Creative Zen

I'm torn between a refurbed apple ipod nano and a Creative Zen, both 2 gb.

Zen plays movies though. This is for a 3rd grader, so $80 is the price range as if you saw her bedroom you'd realize I can't invest a ton of money. Which would you purchase and why? Are movies expensive to download? Would there be any need for these additional features over the apple refurbed nanos?

I'd say get the one that plays movies, at least you have the ability to get movies on it later if you want to.

Both of my sons have had zens for many years and never had any problems.

I love my Zen Vision. You can rent movies from Amazon Unbox for $1.99 or you can buy them. There are a couple of other places where you can download movies from as well.

I have 2 Zen s and both of them broke. The headphone jack is broken so now I am sticking with Apple and hoping nothing goes wrong.

I have a Creative Zen Microphoto 8G and I love it - never have had any problems and when I bought it I got a bigger hard drive for cheaper than the Ipod.

My sister has an Ipod (one of the smaller ones) and she likes my ZEN more because I can change the colors and use my pictures as the background.

Also it picks up FM radio.

we bought our dd the creative zen vision M 30gb last yr for Christmas-she Loves it. Now ds wants an Ipod and we are trying to talk him out of it-we prfer the Creative Zen
