heatherkw Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 starting Sunday at Walmart and walmart.com the Kid Tough Digital Camera will be 48.88 down from 64.88. I just checked the web site and it's still 64.88 on their site so it probably won't change until Sunday. btw I got the new ad for Sept. 30-Oct.6 if anybody is watching for anything in particular.
3cuties4me Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 They had the cameras marked down to $48.88 in our walmart today (IL)!
cberrytech Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 They had the cameras marked down to $48.88 in our walmart today (IL)!They have been $48.88 for weeks in the stores around here.
christib327 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I'll have to let my mom know. She is getting these for my kids for Christmas.
masylimed Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Has anyone used them? I was just wondering how good they were and what age group they're really for.
bugsette Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I've seen them the last week at Walmart for the same price
mysschevous Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 I got one of them for my DS for xmas. He was 3 at the time. I think it is a good camera for him. Digital is also the best media for that age, because we only print the ones we like. It is also fun to see the world from the level of a 3 year old :)
Just Me Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Are they the new model or is this to clear out the old model? New 2007 ones have a bigger screen
DaveL Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Thanks, I will have to check our Walmart tomorrow. Our son loves to take pictures and we were thinking of getting him one of these, just didn't want to pay $65
lalam Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Has anyone used them? I was just wondering how good they were and what age group they're really for.My daughter got one for her 4th bday in June and it's still one of her favorites.
Jeanne515 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Would a 6 yr old enjoy this? My dd wants a camera and I was thinking about this one.
nick_jenni_jocelyn Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 they were marked down also in my local WM. I was also at sams club yesterday and they have the combo pack.... camera AND case together. only thing is, they didnt have a price with it. might be worth checking out!
Joli Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 The set at Sams Club is $70.00; it does come the the case, but the case only costs $15.00, it would be a little cheaper to get them seperately at Walm-Mart.

debnmark Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Anyone have any comments on how this Fisher Price one compares to the Vtech Kidizoom camera?
sem615 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Does anyone know if the almart 48.88 is on the new or old version
cberrytech Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 It seems to be new or old version. They are all displayed together. I scanned the new and the old and they both came up $48.88.
sem615 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 WOW ok I guess I'll have to try and find one. The one walmart I went to yesterday was sold out. I need it for 10/26 DS bday party. I would love a new version. How can you tell the difference.
jazzy442 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 For those of you talking about the combo pack at Sams club. For my daughters birthday last year she wanted the mix stick and the stand that went with it. I couldn`t find them anywhere since they were clearanced out. I checked Sams club website and seen they have auctions on there. So I was able to get a combo deal with the mix stick and stand for around $30. So I would check their auctions on their site to see if by any chance they have the combo at a decet price.
DaveL Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 No Kid Tough Cameras in the auction section of Sam's Club. I bought it at 48.88 at a WalMart in KY yesterday so thanks for the post. Now if I can only keep myself from giving it to my son before Christmas!
lotion Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Would a boy who is 9 years old enjoy this ......or would it seem/look too young for him? I would like your opinions! Thinking about it as a Christmas gift...
sem615 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 How do you know which version. Is the packaging different. I got one at Walmart today but the girl in toys said that on saturday there is supposed to be a special pack. She said it should come with something else but didn't know what and said they haven't gotten them yet. I will definately check the ad on sat morning to see.
sem615 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Does anyone have the AD for this sat. The lady in toys told me that there is a kid tough digital camera bundle. Just wondering what it is Thanks
alora7 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 A 9 year old probably would think it's too childish and if he is actually wanting to learn to take pictures I would find a cheaper adult digital camera for him, the quality of the pictures will be a lot better and he's probably responsible enough to handle a "real" camera. You should be able to get him a 3mp camera for around a $100, maybe even less now that 5-8mp has become the standard. It's more expensive but I can guarantee in a few years he won't want to use a "kid" camera. I bought this camera for my 4 year old niece and it's great for her because when she drops it it's not automatically broken and she mostly just takes pictures of her cat and random things around the house so the quality really doesn't matter, but an older kid will probably want use it for vacation photos and things where you want decent quality.

sem615 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Please tell me the difference between the old and new version I must be missing something
DaveL Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The new version has a little larger view screen that seems to be the only difference. It states that the screen is larger on the newer packaging.
Shortness Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I did a keyword search at Wal Mart for "Kid Tough Digital Camera", and I never had one hit titled "kid tough". There was a couple Fisher Price cameras that talked about being able to handle kids being rough with it. Is that what you guys are talking about, or is there a different one? My ds might enjoy one of these.
