mrn8
What to replace my stolen camera with? SD110 or new A510? I may still wait a month or 2 to see if the price comes down with the release of the A520.
RossMAN
Any idea if the SD110 or A510 have the Canon Digic processor?
mrn8
Both of them have it, according to the specs at canonusa.com.
RossMAN
Here is a side-by-side comparison of the A85 vs SD110. They don't have the new A510 yet but I believe it replaces the A85, so they should be similiar. The A85 offers slightly more but doesn't offer the ultra compact size the SD110 does. mrn8
The biggest thing is that the zoom is so small on the SD110. Also, I like that the A series takes AA batteries. Much cheaper to replace them with rechargeables.
RossMAN
Agreed. I actually like the size of my Canon PowerShot A40 it fits nicely into my hands. The better specs and convenience of AA would sway me towards the NEW A510.
Yo Ma-Ma
SD200 and SD300 have the digic ii processor, I wonder if their prices will be coming down soon with the intro of the beefier MPs of the SD400 & SD500. I have the SD200, it's not perfect but it is a nice little camera. Have sold & will be selling my A85 & 95. Take very nice pictures but heavy, and kind of slow in taking photos. Re: the A510, it really souds nice, uses on 2 AAs insteand of 4 and SD card instead of CF. Bought my dad an A75 for Christmas, wish the A510 was available then.
