DaveL Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Where was this last week when I needed a new router??!? Oh well I purchased the WHR-HS-G54 model and its a good router so I can't complain.
Aaron Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I use Buffalo products at work on a few machines, they are pretty good products.
DaveL Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Yeash, they have impressed me so far. Remind me of the old linksys routers before they went cheap....They just need a better firmware, but that is what Tomato or DD-WRT is for!
Rockfordmom Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Any comments on this specific one? My son wants wireless access for his laptop in the basement and my husband wants to hook a video game system up in the bedroom upstairs that would need internet access, will this work for that? Internet is currently on the first floor & we have cable broadband internet.
RossMAN Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Perfect timing. I know someone who needs a wireless router.

Internet is currently on the first floor & we have cable broadband internet. It may work depending on the distance and thickness of the floors walls, etc. If the internet connection is in the middle of the 1st floor relatively above and below the other floors where you want to use it, it should work. For this price, I would give it a shot. If anything your son could use the internet wirelessly on the 1st floor if it didn't work in the basement.
