I'm in the market for a new dishwasher. I've been looking at Whirlpool at Lowe's and the Maytag at Home Depot. (Of course, Consumer Reports recommends a Bosch one, which is in the $800 range, a bit more than I'd like to pay). Any one have any thoughts, good or bad? Thanks in advance! :g_dance:

I have always had a GE and never have had any problems. Alhough mine were bought before the recall problems earlier this year.

I have a Whirlpool, no problems--it's about 7 years old. The one at my parent's house is older, and still going strong---but it doesn't get used as much. Quiet, I can get a lot in the dishwasher, and I like the way the top rack adjusts. The silverware on the door is convenient, too.

Good Luck!

I have a Kenmore 665.16032402 dishwasher. The 665 means it is made by Whirlpool and it has been great. It was a consumer reports best buy a few years ago. We have been very pleased with its performance compared to the GE model that it replaced. Thats my two cents.
