All you should have to do it call them and tell them you want a deal and they will tell you what the current deals are...You can even do that if you have been with them for a year or two. Complain you are paying too much and they will do that for a 3 month or 6 month period.

BEWARE they LOVE to tell you it will be a certain price in my case it was $29.99 for the first 3 months then it went up $10.00 then within 2 years I was paying $54.99 a month for just internet.

Oh I can go on with the reasons not to go with Charter Communications. One thing I will say is I didn't really have a problem with the internet, but there were so many other issues....MOSTLY the customer service. Do a google search on Charter communicaitons and see what comes up. I know around here most are not happy with them (Hickory/Morganton/Lincolnton NC). They also love to take MONTHS to burry the cable that runs from the box into your home. Don't worry it isn't thier fault, they use sub contractors.

Good Luck

We also had a problem with them raising their prices all the time. Recently our cable and internet went up to over $100. So we called them and got their cable/internet/phone bundle for right around $100 a month. The phone gets installed tomorrow so I just hope that we don't have any problems with it.

I have had the Charter Internet for over 5 years. I currently have just installed the Charter telephone Service. I was not impressed with it. First, they fail to ask you what telephones you currently have in your home. Second, they are not compatable to certain phones. So, a word to the wise ask first about your current phone you have in your house. I know for a fact the all

GE phones are not compatable to there service. So, after the service tech installed the phones service it worked for about 12 hours, then quit working. I called them on my cell phone and ask them about my service not working thats when one of the reps. asked me what kind of phone I had in my house. I told him that was not very good business practices. If you want to sell your phone service the first questions to consumers would be: Miss. what kind of phones do you currently have in your house. And go form there. Well to make a long story short I talked to his supervisor and complained that I was not informed about the compatablitiy of the phone. And that I was unsatisify. Well that supervisor sent in my request to talk to a regional rep. and they

sent me a check to buy new phones, plus gave me a package deal for the next 2 years. I guess to shut me up. After that was all said and done I still for the last 2 month have had telephone problems with no service for 15 days per month. So they have prorated my bill to 10.00 a month.

So if you depend on your phone service, I would be very afraid of this service.
