lostfan101 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Anybody know of a good site to buy books for good prices? I'm ok with used as long as they're in good condition. I'm looking for The Giver and Animal Farm and also the HP books to complete my collecton. Any suggestions?
dtwdmaty Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 I've always found the best deals at my local library's used book store. Kid's paperbacks for a quarter, adult for 50 cents, etc. You may want to check and see if your area library has one.
tokanm Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 I buy books at flea markets and yard sales, they are usually very cheap and in good condition. I bought 12 yesterday for $3.00 for my Dad, he is 84 yrs old and reads several books every week. God Bless him..it keeps his mind very alert.
kieransmummy Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 I trade online, you can buy credits too, if you don't have books to trade. Once you list 9 book for trade you get three free credits to get you started. http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/hdtw.php

We picked up Harry Potter books 1 thru 5 for .50 each. All hardcover and in perfect condition.
Linda81 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Goodwill Thrift stores usually have a good selection of books also. Prices are .99 to 1.49
