Online cell phones?

Can someone suggest a cheap online site to buy a cell phone. I already have service (Cingular) but my daughter broke her phone and I need to replace it.

We have Verizon service but when we have an issue of needing a phone even temporarily we usually look on ebay

I was looking on there earlier. What does it mean when it indicates that the phone is "unlocked"?

I believe that I saw a post here saying "unlocked" mean you are not limited to using it with just one carrier. Some locked phones are locked for a specific carrier (ie Verizon, Altel, T-Mobile, etc.)
