SueInCali
Hi all! :) Besides the obvious places (Priceline,Hotwire,Hotels.com, etc), does anyone have any helpful hints on where to go online to get deals on hotels? Any help is appreciated.
RossMAN
Hi Sue, Sure we can give it a try :) What city? What dates? How many adults and children? Are you or your spouse a AAA member? Is there a hotel chain you prefer?

kimichelle
I've always had the best luck on Priceline using the guidelines on biddingfortravel.com.
SueInCali
Aaron- the least possible. :) kim- thanks! :) I did try Priceline, but the area is kinda spread out and also they didn't accept my bid.
RossMAN
In my experience one of the best hotel values is Extended Stay which is available for $81.89 per night. I just called them at (310) 540-5442 and they said there are always specials and you might get a price lower than $81/night. Tell them you're a AAA member, etc.
newgirl
Hi all ~ A couple of things to mention... First, most hotels will price match any deal you can find and usually upgrade so once you find a good deal, go to the website of that hotel and see what they will do for you. Also, there are a few airlines that will do this (Alaskaair.com, I know for sure). Some companies have web specials or last minute deals so make sure to check with the actual company as well. Last, while everyone is looking into info for Dave and Sue, my parents are needing to go to San Diego next week and I have not had much luck so if anyone finds a good deal on flights I would be very grateful! Details... they are pretty flexible on the dates they can travel anytime between Dec. 26 - 31. From Seattle to San Diego, 2 adults, roundtrip w/ or w/out hotel. Thanks... This site is great! Everyone is so willing to help and you don't find that much anymore, I love that! Happy Holidays everyone! Thanks again ~ Rebecca
SueInCali
Rebecca- flights looks pretty filled up for that timeframe. I saw some in the $500 range. I read where there are record number of flyers this year, so the deals are at a minimum. Ross- thanks for that option. I have found a few in the $50 range and I think that's where I'm heading. Problem is, you have to pay and THEN you get the info on where you stay. Could be in Gardena or Carson also, not my preference. Anyone ever stay at a Days Inn before? RossMAN
Days Inn are nice considering the price you are paying. Also consider Best Western and Holiday Inn.
