If you have a Play it again Sports in your area try them. They have great deals and check everything over before they sell it to be sure it is safe and working. We have used them for years for many sport and excerise item and have always had great luck finding just what we needed.

Thanks adewrell for the yard sale suggestion, but I am looking for a new one. I am sure MIL and wifey won't appreciate me getting her a used treadmill. Might have to sleep on the couch for a few days!

Play it again Sports is no where around my town.

I am still searching for a good deal. There is a discounted one at my local Costco...but it costs a 1000 bucks after discounts. Can't afford it.

Check out www.craigslist.org and find your state and closest city. In the Sporting section, I see treadmills all the time for a decent price. If you buy used, have them let you test it before you go through the trouble of moving it. Look for inconsistent speed and listen for unusual noises in the motor / belt area.
