adewrell
Your best deal will be to buy one at a yard sale. Trust me, people buy them, use them a month, let them collect dust for a year or two and then sell them. I see them all the time for $50 to $100 at yard sales. preacherswife2
If you have a Play it again Sports in your area try them. They have great deals and check everything over before they sell it to be sure it is safe and working. We have used them for years for many sport and excerise item and have always had great luck finding just what we needed.
ajoe
Thanks adewrell for the yard sale suggestion, but I am looking for a new one. I am sure MIL and wifey won't appreciate me getting her a used treadmill. Might have to sleep on the couch for a few days! ;-) Play it again Sports is no where around my town. I am still searching for a good deal. There is a discounted one at my local Costco...but it costs a 1000 bucks after discounts. Can't afford it. mrn8
Check out www.craigslist.org and find your state and closest city. In the Sporting section, I see treadmills all the time for a decent price. If you buy used, have them let you test it before you go through the trouble of moving it. Look for inconsistent speed and listen for unusual noises in the motor / belt area.
