I am looking for a new laptop for my daughter upcoming 17th b-day. I dont want to spend more then $700.00. Can anyone help? I would like AMD, min of 512 ram, a min of 80 gb , a wide screen and have wireless. Thanks

Try this link to Dell - small business - Inspiron 1501. This is a great computer. We have one but actually paid $534 just last week instead of the $499 that it is now. I had a code for $19.99 shipping as well and it came in about 1 week from order. Anyway, on the home office link at Dell it is $799... I double checked all of the specs and it is the SAMETHING. We own a small landscaping business so we had no problem ordering as a small business.

What does your daughter plan to do with the laptop? Both Intel and AMD have several different processors. The type of processor you get, along with the amount of RAM and the size of the hard drive should be based on what the laptop will be used for.

She will pretty much just use for school work and some internet sufing, Nothing major. I stopped and talked to a Dell guy today. He explained alittle more to me. I really would like her to have a laptop, I just dont have a fortune to spend. Thanks for replys so far
