Gift for family that I don't know well...

Recommended Posts

We had a family join our church maybe 2 months ago and we have gone over to their house and hung out a bit. Our kids have played together on a few occasions but I don't really know them. Well yesterday my oldest ds went to go and play with their oldest son. He came home and asked me what we are getting them for Christmas because he found out that they got us guitar hero 1 so now I have no idea what to get them that is somewhat inexpensive. They have 4 kids from 7-14 all boys, I just don't know what to do...HELP

What about a movie gift pack? Put a new release movie, some microwave popcorn bags, and a 2 liter drink in a big popcorn bowl. You could even do movie tickets or a pizza gift certificate if you wanted to spend a little more.

I agree, that is a great idea. :yup: I did one of these for a church auction and I included a dvd, micro popcorn, movie type snacks (like mike & ikes and such from the Dollar Tree) and put it all in a popcorn plastic bucket. I got the popcorn bucket from Kitchen Collection (not sure how widespread that store is...)

I agree the movie night sounds really good to me in my budget but doesn't look to cheapie!!! Thanks I was really stumped this was really great I went to Walmart and got a large santa bowl for $2.50, 2 movies for $11.00, 6 movie size candies for $.88each and 6 bags of popcorn for $2.50 It looks great and all for under $30.00 I can't ask for more thanks to all of you!!!
