Best deal on a desk top for kids

My kids are 7 & 9, what is the best deal on a desktop for them, for playing computer games and downloading there pictures? Would like to keep price under $500.

I don't know how good they are or anything, but Walmart always has computers for $498.00. I can't put a link to the exact page for some reason, but just search for 'desktop', and they are there.

We bought my son one of the eMachines from WalMart about 3 years ago and it's still going strong. In fact, it's held up better than all of our much more expensive machines. He doesn't really work it hard like we do, but enjoys using it. It's now in the kitchen and I use it for general purpose/easy access and my hubby also plays Oblivion and other games on it after upgrading to dvd and adding more memory. For a kid, I would definitely buy another one like that.

Walmart marked down some computers to clearance last wednesday, it came down from home office, so I would assume that it was most of the stores.

I got an HP1253, originally $648 was marked down to $498. I was originally going to buy one of the emachines, but when this happened I jumped on it, because the specs were awesome. There were also a a few other models marked down, including some laptops.

Wouldn't hurt to go check it out.
