True. The only thing you really gain with the A540 is 6.1mp instead of 5mp and a 2.5" LCD instead of a 1.8" lcd.

The Canon SD600 Elph is a smokin camera I just got one and was blown away. They are around $200 at major retailers. Remember you always have to spend a little more to get a bigger memory card. Here is the review on the sd600

I have used Nikons for years recommended them to everyone I know and never thought I would not use a Nikon however this Canon (not sure if other models are junk) blows away anything I could find on Nikon.
