FYI, there are always reports of people having problems with TigerDirect rebates. While I'm sure the vast majority of people end up getting their rebates, just something to keep in mind. Luckily for this deal the rebate amount isn't as much.

I just want to let everyone know that I bought this tv for ~ $1100 this summer and I don't regret it at all. The HD broadcast picture is GREAT on the Olevia.

 

I watch HD broadcasts w/ the Scientific Atlanta HD8300 cable box and HD sporting events and movies look great. Standard Def broadcasts look like crap, but I think that happens on all HDTVs.

 

The model I bought was slightly different in that the speakers are on the sides an not the bottom and it looks like they've updated the remote (which was a big complaint among buyers-it sucked big time).

 

If I had the money I would buy another one just to stick in the bedroom.

i am wondering why when you go to the site it shows it for 899.99, but even pricegrabber says 749.99 with 50 mail in rebate, so what is up with this :-\
