o6blink Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I haven't seen a topic about this deal. I don't see a brand or anything for these subs or amp. Are they decent? Has anyone ever seen these before? Is anyone getting them? They are on the 4th page of the Best Buy Thanksgiving ad on the Bestbuy site.
Hoyle1 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 im looking on getting it too, i looked at reviews, circuit city has reviews on the amp they were all good, i think it was epinions had reviews on the sub and box and those were really good too
o6blink Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 I asked a friend about them and they said don't even think about it. Dual brand subs are pieces of crap and one type R would blow both of them to pieces. That's what he said so IDK. Anybody have any input? Only 2 days away.
Hoyle1 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 dual usually doesnt make good products but this guy put one in his truck with a 1000 watt amp and he said he uses it hard everydya and they hold up good. but your friend is right dual speakers arent usually good.
Acizzle423 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Nah, if it's just to add some "bump" to your ride, fine, but if you're trying to get a reliable system, I wouldn't get dual. And as the above post, Wal-Mart sells them if that tells you anything.
Hoyle1 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 im not trying to defend it or anything but walmart sells sony and pioneer too
chaarlieee Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Most pioneer and sony car audio equipment are garbage. I said most. Dual is garbage as well. You can make dual, jensen, and sony equipment sound good, but why would you even want to in the first place when you can do so much better with the money? I wouldn't even buy lower quality equipment if it was $20.

I would say... you can cheap out on the AMP (I am talking swap meet, not cheap Best Buy) and the subs (Duals blow out easily though), but your door, and rear "highs" need to be quality... and the head unit needs to be quality. I am running:Pioneer CD PlayerMB Quart Components powered from a 4-channel 700 Watt DHD Amp.2 12" Polk Momo Subs running off of a Legacy 2000 Watt Amp. Sounds decent for the prices I paid.
