raymacfla Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Does anyone know if any retailer will offer this outside of their stores? It would sound like a sound marketing plan if you could connect to the internet to shop any online deals before the opening if you were camped out. You could effectively be at two places at one time. I realize that in order for this to work, the deals would have to be offered before 5AM.
raymacfla Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 That would also be nice if the Fast food joes would offer black friday meal deals!
lucyismycat Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I dunno if it's nationwide or not, but my local Circuit City has an unblocked wifi connection. I used it last year on my pda while I was waiting outside the store.
johjstc Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I was wondering the same thing. I think I'm going to take a ride today or tomorrow and see if I can connect.
Aaron Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Some stores have wireless networks for the demo laptop/pc stations. I dont know of any that offer open free wi-fi but alot of fast food and coffee shops have free wi-fi.
raymacfla Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 Perhaps this is something they should consider. It might revolutionize the way business is done. Imagine coupons validated by email traffic, and offers available only through their their locale. You just have to be within range to rake the deals in.
sevirj Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Yeah, you could be standing in line at Best Buy, ordering something online from Wal-mart
