Looking for a reasonably priced smaller bookshelf

I need a bookshelf for my 3 year olds room. Max size about 3 foot by 3 foot. I've seen them around but they are all too expensive. Anyone seen a steal on these?

Do you need real wood? I seen the fake wood ones (for lack of a better name) at shopko on clearance for 7.99, not sure on the size though but something to check into - maybe call and see if they have them and what size it is.

Did you try your local thrift store? A few weeks ago, I found an absolutely beautiful children's book shelf at the thrift store (all wood) for about $10.

Unfortunatly I don't have any shopkos around here. That sounds like a steal!

Menards had a new ad out today with a Sauder (fake type wood) one listed at 12.99.

Man, that bookcase is perfect, plus the garage thing they have is just what I've been looking for. Now I'll have to see if I can talk the inlaws into going there before they come down for thanksgiving. The closest one to us is an hour away, but they have two fairly close to them.
