kacers
I don't see many referencing this deal. What do you think? Good deal? Good tv? Connie
Maxspeed1997
The tv is a good one for the price. Built in HD-tuner and is slim for a projection tv. If I didn't have a 51" for the living room right now, I would pick this one up.
kacers
Thanks for the reply. I keep trying to figure out what I'm missing about this deal. I think I'm going to try to get one. Connie
Feldman9000
It gets good reviews on circuit city's site. I'm gonna be all over this.
Mike
OP, just so you know, that this is a projection. So in your mind you might be picturing a extremely slim LCD TV when in fact this is a projection TV. It is faily slim for a projection TV, just not a slim as a LCD TV would be. Diesel0312
Any other downsides to a projection tv? ConnieMy projection is a CRT and not a LCD, so this might not apply, but at extreme angles it gets dark. I think this was more of a problem on the older projections, but the new ones still have it a bit.

Also, LCD projection offers really poor black level and contrast performance compared to other technologies. But they are also pretty darn cheap and offer fairly good performance in most other regards. So its just a matter of trade-off.
jdiddy
Does anyone know if this will be available online on Friday? Or is this considrered a door buster deal that I need to line up for?
Mike
It isn't a "doorbuster" but I don't know if it will be available online either.
Guest mommy2hayden
I'm dying to get my hands on this. I really want to make sure it IS the one I want though. Are all LCDs that have depth on them, projection Tvs? The really skinny ones I know are not projection. Does anyone have this TV or one similiar? I'm seeing mixed reviews on this as far as the picture with HDTV vs. basic programming....This is a big investment. I don't want a bad picture...
