Best Photo Printer

Does anyone have any insight into the photo printers that are advertised for BF? Are the All in Ones crappy, or do they do ok with photos too? And this probably sounds silly, but can you print things other than photos on these printers?

For example, Staples has the HP PS 2575 all in one for $89 (was 179) and the HP PS 8050 photo printer for $50 (was $129). I'm not sure what to go with... I am looking for mainly to print photos, but other things like flyers as well.

Thanks for any help.

I have the same questions about photo printers. I have an outdated printer that still works, but

I would like a photo printer. I am wondering if I should get an all-in-one printer or just buy a photo

printer. I would probably print pictures more than anything else. So, I would like to know if all-in-one printers are just as good at printing photos as photo printers?

I am considering getting a printer next Friday.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I personally dont know if i'd use it to print anything other than the pics... cuz ink is sooo expensive. I've never priced ink for a printer such as a photo printer, so you might want to see if its regular ink or special ink.. and it may be alittle more $$.

I myself am going to get a photo printer too.. just deciding which is the better one.

If you are printing a lot of pictures, get them done at Walgreens, Walmart, Costco, etc... The cost of ink and paper for a photo printer (especially HP) is typically 3-5 times more than getting them printed at a store. Search the online deals forum for "free photo prints." There are many ways to get free printing from online printers, such as Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Ofoto.

Check the cost of ink before you buy a photo printer. I have a Canon Pixma IP5000 and it prints incredible pictures, but the cost to replace all 3 colors and the 2 black inks is less than $15. For an HP printer, you are looking at a cost of around $40-$60 each time you change out both cartridges. Unfortunately, Canon changed their cartridges, too, so they are expensive to change on the newer printers.

However, I would still recommend the Canon Pixma IP4300 printer. (Ink refills) - (Printer Link) - It looks like it's only $39.99 + $16.20 shipping AR at Amazon! That's a steal as it's around $99 shipped anywhere else.
