jcarr492 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 We don't know much about either really. We currently have a 60" RCA projection tv that we are getting ready to sell. Dh wants to sell it and use the money towards a new [smaller] tv. But we want HDTV built in and can't decide between a plasma or lcd. We love the way the plasma is...great viewing from wide range of angles in the room, and the LCD is nice too, but...and it may just be me....but it like our projection tv...when you get to the side of it, it goes dark, unlike the plasma. So is that the difference between them? I told him anything from a 32" to a 42" would be nice...this 60" is nice..but a HUGE pita to move.
RossMAN Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 LCD - cheaper, best for 27" - 42" sizes, uses less electricity, better if you plan on using it with a PC. Plasma - if you want something 50" or larger, get Plasma. DLP - best bang for your buck and PQ if you don't need to hang your TV on the wall.
