21sticon Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I need TV stand for this Plasma TV, I have not found any good stand in Amazon unlike local stores(BestBuy& CC).
Stowasser Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I have a question if someone can answer it, we live in Montana about a mile up and its been rumored that Plasma has problems in higher altitudes, has anyone experienced that or hear of that.
cornholio Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 gone at Amazon. I placed one in my cart a few hours ago, just went to checkout and the free shipping deal is over. I should have checked out at that moment. Circuit City on Black friday here I come!!!
stacebabe Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 That's because the Amazon.com seller sold out of them, so now it's being sold by Electronics Expo. If you give it a few more days, they'll have more in and it'll have free shipping again. gone at Amazon. Brad Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 It's still available through Amazon, but it now says ships in 2-4 weeks. On the right of the page under "more buying choices" Amazon should show up. So you can still order it, it'll just take a little longer.
cornholio Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 You guys are right. I was just coming back to edit my post to say it was no longer in stock, and would take 2-4 weeks, but you guys beat me to it. I will probably still order anyway. The only thing that I am leery of, is if there is a problem, I have to deal with the manufacturer. I can't return it to Amazon after it is delivered. Thanks
stacebabe Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Ya, I hemmed and hawed over that too. Last night I was at Best Buy, about to shell out $1894 after taxes for the same TV, and then I re-thought it. It's hard to beat $1359...especially from a reputable online retailer. I read up on Consumer Reports last night about buying a TV from online retailers and they say it's just as safe as any other, if not more inconvenient if something goes wrong. A little irritation is worth the $535 difference in my book! You guys are right. Brad Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Judging by the ratings this model gets, you shouldn't have any problems :)

Stowasser Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Thank you, just handed it off to my husband, looks like we fall well below the recommended max but something to consider
bantar Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 As I noted in an earlier post, this same TV with shipping is ~$1350 from www . frys . com. No need to wait. I bought one and it's an excellent TV. I've noticed that the stores will have these TVs setup horribly and the picture may look bad there. I spent quite a bit of time looking at all 42" Plasma's. They all have excellent pictures. I went with the 9th generation plasma technology from Panasonic hoping for a mature manufacturing process and therefore (I hope), the TV won't die on me prematurely given this large expense. I've put a good dent in the 60,000 hour life of this TV in just the last 2 days!
