gottasaveabuck Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I saw a Nintendo DS listed in the BB BF ad for $99. Is this the same as the Nintendo DS "Lite" that sells for $129...?
gottasaveabuck Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 What would the difference be then? My daughter wants one and I'd like to get her the right one...
gottasaveabuck Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Can anyone tell me the difference between the Nintendo DS and the DS Lite?
dmmiller Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I got this from Yahoo answers... The ds lite definitely has a better screen. It allows you to set the contrast and brightness of the screen. Making it easy-er to see in the sun. Though lately Nintendo has been getting a lot of complains about the ds lite. This is because it cracks on the left side of ds lite where the screen is held. Though this can be fixed by calling customer service where Nintendo will then fix it for free. Either then that the ds lite is definitely better than the original ds.
dmmiller Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Also saw this description, It may answer some questions ?http://nintendo.about.com/od/industrynews/a/dslite.htm
wright1baby Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 We have both (2 sons) and I have to say, even for a novice like myself, there is a noticeable difference in the 2. The DS lite is definately better!
bf1942 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Have 2 nephews, each has one ,DS lite much better.
Guest Frieked Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Both play the exact same games. DS Lite is a little smaller and has a better screen. They must've stolen some designers from apple Only downside to the DS Lite is like someone mentioned the side can crack a little but it's not really a big deal, hasn't happened to mine... oh and the GBA games stick out a little bit on the DS Lite but not the regular DS.
