anybody heard about a deal on the new 1g ipod shuffle

There are a few places that have the new iPod Shuffle (MA564LL/A) for $74.00, but once you pay for shipping, it ends up being $6-8 more than buying it right from Apple (since Apple currently offers free shipping for orders over $50).

Yes, but the OP was asking about the new second-generation ipod shuffle. It just came out in October - it has a built-in clip function:

I bought the 2nd generation 1 gb ipod shuffle yesterday from apple.com. total with tax 83.25

 

Gov. discount(5.00), free shipping, free engraving(so DS has his name on his IPOD).83.25. WM has the 2nd generation IPOD for 78.XX.
