Yes they should offer their regular instore financing options.

Of course you will have to qualify with your income and credit history.

Usually it's 12 months 0% on purchases over $299.

just to make it clearer, their add says storewide totaling 299.00 and up. So it's not subject to single items equalling 299.00. Atleast that's how I interpretted it.

I don't know about you but I could easily rack up $299 in toys at Best Buy :)

0% no interest through January 2006 is a good deal indeed.

On the BB ad it says "Friday and Saturday Only, no interest till January 2006" for items $299 and up. CC has a similar deal but for purchases $499 and up, ouch.

I don't get how monthly payment options work. Does the above mean that if I buy a $500 thing then I have until Jan. 2006 until they start adding interest to my $500? IIf I pay them $500 before then then I'm all good right? Can someone explain how payment plans work?

No interest basically works like this. You will have your total due, say $900 if you buy the laptop. You will get a monthly bill b/c its just like a credit card, the minimum due will be 4%. You can pay JUST the minimum every month without getting hit with finance charges. BUT, if you don't pay off the entire purchase before the promotional date ends, you will get the ENTIRE amount of interest billed to you.

One other note, if you use the no finance option...do NOT use the card for anything else. When you make payments, it will go towards the promotional item ONLY and you will be charged finance charges for the new items that you bought.

CheapArse is correct.

You are required to make minimum monthly payments (estimate $12 on $299 purchase).

As long as you pay off your balance in full before 12/31/2005 then you pay $0 interest charges.

So you could charge $299 on Friday and pay off $299 next month if you want. Or make 10 payments of $30.
