Any deals on satalite radio? Sirius?

Okay hubby has sprung his list on me now and he wants satalite radio in our car for christmas. I can't complain really because we have a tape deck right now LOL I know sometimes bestbuy has a deal you can get the tuner or whatever with a year of sirius or something like that. Has anyone seen ANY deals listed anywhere for this? I'm clueless and I'm sure someone out there must have seen or heard of a deal somewhere.

I know Radio Shack has a BF special on Sirius. I think you have to buy a receiver and car kit and you get $100 back via rebates plus a free home kit. So basically it's the receiver, home kit, and car kit for around $100 after rebates. I think the rebates require 3 months of service.

If you want to get a compatible boombox, go order it at Target online. It is $79.99, and there are 10% off coupon codes available at various coupon websites. You will have to pay shipping and sales tax. This boombox is also a BF deal at K-Mart for $79.99 plus tax, but if you get it online at Target, it works out at about the same cost without fighting the crowds! :)

Considering Stern will have an exclusive in 2006...Id say yes. :)

I dunno about music....I like sirus better right now. That may be just b/c baseball is in the off season though. If sirus had MLB to back up NFL and stern...it would be no contest.

There is a $10.00 activation fee and sales tax is charged as well, so altogether the cost is $142.45 1 yr service + $9.99 shipping via ground + $10.00 activation fee = $162.44 plus applicable sales tax. If you go through Ebates, you may get a $20.00 rebate check at the end of the year (I think).

If you are a member of http://www.ebates.com, you may be able to get $20.00 for buying from Sirius via their link in addition to the free XACT system. (You would go through Ebates' site to access Sirius and then enter the code from the http://www.sirius.com/offer/sternrally site).

You can also get a 4% discount for Target purchases as well via Ebates.

Back in the day I used eBates quite a bit. I miss their old referral system.

I just ordered my set, so it will be a few days before I know if the $20 from Ebates will work.

 

For future deals, people can check out http://www.siriusbackstage.com. There are often codes on there for a received and car or home kit for $50.00 plus shipping.

 

I order a lot of stuff online at Christmas, so using Ebates is almost like getting extra little rebates down the road when it comes time to pay off the credit card bills. Are there any sites that you guys use that are similar to Ebates?
