No new info, however, I am an avid tech guy and can recommened the review site www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com or www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com to check up on what is the best of the best for the "best" tv's.
If I see any one of the the top tv's on sale on balck friday...I might have to twist the wifes arm!
Thanks. I've been looking for a good LCD TV review site. I will definitely get one on BF or shortly thereafter. It will be 37 to 40 inches to fit in my wall unit. I'd like to go with 1080i but I supect it will be a bit too expensive. I'll probably end up with 720p.

I agree that HDTV's are going to be hot this year.
I'm hoping for a 1080p LCD for just under $1,000
If that happens, I may not be able to resist, despite telling my wife when I bought my projector in May that I wouldn't ask for an HDTV for quite a while.

BF is a great time to buy a TV. In additon to Sears, Best Buy and Circuit City, you'll also have Staples, OfficeMax and Office Depot to choose from.

A 1080 may be a bit too expensive for me, but if the prices are low enough, I'll go for it. I'm not convinced that my eyes will be able to tell the difference anyway.

Your Welcome!
FYI, I believe nearly all 720p televisions have 1080i (i = Interlaced)...1080p (p = progressive scan) however, is "true" high definition, due to the resolution of 1920x1080...I believe Westinghouse has a 42" plasma at a true 1080p for around $2200 now and its of good quality

Thanks for your reply. But was wondering if anyone knows if they would most likely be the items that they hand out tickets for inline hours B4 the store opens,or just regular open stock?
D
My guess is that larger TVs will be on sale, but won't be at doorbuster prices that will require tickets. If any TVs turn out to be ticket items, they will probably be smaller ones and probably not the big name brands like Sony, Sharp, etc.
