Speedwell Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I'm looking for a decent microcomputer (also known as "fuzzy logic" or "micom") rice cooker, but the prices are impossible. I need a medium sized one, in the 5 or 6 cup range. Can you find one around or under $100 for me, with reasonable shipping to Texas? It needs to have a "brown rice" setting. We are vegetarians.
cotejb Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I don't know if any of these have a brown rice setting, but here are a few I found. http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NHS-10-6-Cup/dp/B00004S576 http://www.epinions.com/Maximatic_B601T_Elite_Pro_Rice_Cooker http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1562575/ http://shopping.msn.com/Specs/shp/?itemId=20785451
kmbrly Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Not under $100 but here's a fuzzy one at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NS-ZCC10/dp/B00007J5U7 This one (below) is $119. 5.5 cups http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NS-MYC10-Micom-Cooker-Warmer/dp/B00009K3TA/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_0_0/102-4335111-5501738?ie=UTF8
Speedwell Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Thank you, ladies. None of those are quite the thing. I was able to find a Sanyo ECJ-D100S (a 10-cup microcomputerized model with all of the functions I needed) newly listed on Ebay today for exactly what I was wanting to pay. There are others of this same model listed on Ebay for about 119 dollars with fairly reasonable shipping costs. I have the three-cup version and love it except that it is too small.
