He is in college and they have a free music download site at his school. How many songs/photos will those hold? I have my music ripped to 128K and I listen to a lot of progressive music with songs up to 20 minutes in length. I have around 700 songs on mine and it is fully loaded. If you rip the songs to lesser quality, you can easily get many more songs. The sound quality of this is very good. They work great, plenty of room for growth (theirs are 5 gigs so they hold 2500 songs, but no photos) but this one as stated will hold 2000 songs! I have been having a lot of trouble trying to figure out which mp3 player to get for my 18 year old DD. I was leaning toward a Zen, but there are so many choices. This price helped me make up my mind. I am clueless when it comes to these things, but now I want one for mysel fafter all the research I have done.
