Are you asking for a knife block set?

Chicago Cutlery is probably the absolute best value when buying knife sets. Here's a large set for $149 -$25 Coupon to make it $124.: http://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Cutlery-Insignia2-18-Piece-Sharpener/dp/B000H6VH1S/sr=1-18/qid=1160490245/ref=sr_1_18/102-8700548-1333733?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen

Those are the one's I use for everyday stuff. They are very good and hold an edge for quite a while. I have a nicer set of knives that I use for preparing foods when I am having a party or serving a large group, but those are never really on sale.

I'm not very good at sharpening with the included sharpener, so I got one if these: http://www.amazon.com/OZITECH-Diamond-Fingers-knife-sharpener/dp/B000F8SIOW/sr=1-2/qid=1160490412/ref=pd_bbs_2/102-8700548-1333733?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden

he'll sharpen so that part i'm not too worried about

thanks mrn8, i have a fear of knives, i will cut things but i wont even clean them, that sharpener looks like it would be ok even for me

I actually have the Ronco knive, the ones you see on tv. I am much more impressed with them than I thought I would be. In fact, in three years the only piece I need to repalce is the scissors.

which reminds me, I SHOULD get a new pair for free.
