misshayley
I am making Dip Mixes for my extended family for Christmas, and I am trying to think of an inexpensive and unique/creative way to wrap them. A normal sized gift bag would be too big. Anyone have any ideas?
conj
what is a dip mix? as in like chip dip? In a jar? how about wine bags?
misshayley
It's a small zip lock bag with a dry mix that you combine wet ingredients with to make dip that you can use on chips, veggies, crackers, etc.
Firemansgal311
How about start by bagging them up in celophane. Then go buy some of those 4" or 5" aluminum pails at the craft store. Line the bucket with decorative holiday tissue paper. Decorate the outside with holiday stickers and personalize with craft paint, Place the celo bags in the bucket and top off with a pretty bow and some raffia tied around the handle.:)

mom395222
I agree with the bowl idea. Find some cheap ceramic bowls in the size you need, and then go to a craft store and get a plain box in the size you need, and decorate the box with whatever. holly2hottie
What about going to the dollar store and getting a chip/dip tray, wrap the dip up cute(Christmas cellophane or bags) putting it in the middle and then wrapping the whole thing in cellophane and a bow? Or at my dollar store last year the had 2 small plastic Christmas pails for $1, They had a top that fit and locked on them. They were the perfect size for a dip mix. laffnatu
How about baby food jars and decorate the jars? It seems like the Dollar Store has very small little boxes when it gets closer to Christmas.
sevirj
A family friend gave my wife a jar with some sort of homemade cookie mix last Christmas (can't remember what kind). Instead of the ingredients being pre-mixed, they were still separated in the jar. It kinda looked like one of those sand sculptures that kids make in art class. It had a ribbon around the top w/a bow and I thought it was a great idea.
