I'm glad I'm not alone in that! Getting any wants out of my husband and son is like pulling teeth! Neither of them has ever told me what they wanted so I just make a good guess. I've had enough though so I made them start making wish lists on amazon. they still don't have much on there but it's better than nothing.

My older two start making lists now...in fact I already have them...but they DO continue to add stuff all the time. I have them make several lists with different items on each one and then I keep one and give the others to grandma and aunts & uncles. That way I know we won't have repeat gifts.

My 10 year old updates hers daily, and then emails me the updated list:tongue1: I told her to make sure she puts little things she wants too, not just the ipod, or a new bedroom set (that one cracked me up)

I had my kids go through the toy book that came in the mail the other day and had them circle things they liked. My son has asked for very little this year and my daughter circled almost the entire girls section LOL.
