shopping mom Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 It will be interesting to see how the new Target will be for BF. It is a lot closer to me than any other store. I am hoping that it will not be as crowded. They open October 8 so I will have time to learn the basic floor plan.
Rebirth Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Grand opening will be PACKED! You'll see the floors so new that you can see yourself. Within 2-3 days, the crowd dies down and the floors with all wheel skid marks and all dirty.

Aaron Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I've never been to Target on BF, anyone care to share how it is?
Shonette Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Our target is crazy! The people are usually really rude and push you out of the way. Don't ever set anything down or leave your basket unattended! I watched someone get in a fight last year over the $20.00 video chairs. I will probably go, but they won't be my first stop, just not worth it. Not like Wal-Mart is that much bettter, but I will probably go there first.
vonnyb Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I LOVE Target but for some reason I never go there first on BF. I always end up going but not until after the crowd has left and things are pretty much picked over. Maybe I will try them first this year.
Rebirth Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Mine's not dirty and wheel skidded and it's over a year old :2monkey:It's not really dirty. But it just looks like they clean the floors. And they have alot of employees.
darkkan Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 My experience on BF with Target has usually been that they have very few of the items that are advertised. I love to shop there normally, but never get to any of the good stuff before it's gone.
Gator Pam Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Hasn't Target discontinued door buster anyway? Aren't Target's BF prices good all day?
Rebirth Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Hasn't Target discontinued door buster anyway? Aren't Target's BF prices good all day? You're right, in fact it was a 2 day sale last year.
kmbrly Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 You're right, in fact it was a 2 day sale last year.In the past, has their sale inventorybeen pretty well stocked for a 2 day sale? Or do they run out of everything advertised early? I may fit them into my BF day if the sale is all day (or for 2 days even). I always passed them by before.
Aaron Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I think Target may be the first place that I go this year, but I'm not here on the board working.
biomajor Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Last year, my Target was restocking all day and I got all the things I went in for (IIRC, the Down blankets and a few appliances and DVD's) and I went a lot later.
love2beurwifey Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I think every store I go in on BF is crazy. But anyway Target is great... I think the store may be a little out of order afterwards but they will get back in shape pretty quickle
dmintelsgt Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I had the best experience at Target out of all my BF shopping. There were store clerks a plenty to help find things and even get them from the back. The prices were right and everyone was in a good mood, no pushing or shoving. The lines weren't bad at the check-out either... they won my business that day! :)

I was in there yesterday and was 3rd in line and they opened another lane and took the lady in front of me with her 2 items! I love that they take the customers in order!!!
sky_scraper123 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 We have a new Target close to our house in St louis, it's very cool, they have under ground parking, the store "stays" clean, very rare do I wait in line, and the service is great. They are really a shopper friendly store, at least at that location. Mary
femalesliealot Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 My Target opens an hour after the Walmart across the street does on BF. So after the excitement at WM, everyone goes across the street to Target and does it all again.
arieslove Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Target always seems to have a lot of people working on BF. I know when I worked there EVERYBODY was required to work that day.
shaneslove Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 we went to Target last year around 11am to get some decorations and stuff and all the employees where really helpful and even went to the back to look for stuff and didnt make me feel like they were put out at all. It wasnt crazy when we went, but then again we were used to Walmart, Sears, Kohls and Toy r Us where things were much more hectic This year we will go back
Turtle Mommy Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 We had a new Target to shop at on BF last year. I had 4 or 5 things on my list. They were the MOST organized store I have ever been to on BF. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes!!!
Tink214 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 We're opening a new Target on October 8 too and I'll be one of the cashiers there. They are very "guest" oriented there and I think it'll be a great place to work.

becca0884 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hopefully you'll be able to get us the ad early! Haha, I've been with Target for nearly 4 years (4 years on BF to be exact) and I have NEVER seen a BF ad early except on here. I help scan the items in as they roll off the truck, so we do get a peek at what might be to come, but we don't know the prices or anything.
peachysquirt21 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 My Target is always jammed packed on BF. There is always a crowd standing outside waiting for the store to open. It gets crazy in the toys, DVDs, Electronics departments on BF.

tootsieroll23 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Well I don't go to Target on BF because they, (at least ours) will make price adjustments for anything you have bought before BF that is in the BF ad. I just take my receipt in anytime on BF for the adjustments. That way I am able to get to other stores. I never go to a Walmart on BF unless it is some fantastic deal.
leefamily23 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Our Target opens later than our WM too. It used to be Wm at 6am and Target at 7am. Last yr it was WM at 5am and Target at 6am. So we can always hit the openings at both stores if needed. We usually do Target though mid-way down the list.
