Looking for laptop

Here's what I'm looking for: Laptop for a 7 yr old, just to play a few games on, no internet needed on it, and he likes to use the paint feature thats really all it needs. What would be the cheapest laptop for this kind of thing? It can be refurbished or used. Where is a good place to look? I'm not willing to spend 600 on a laptop for him.

Someone must've bought that one. The cheapest laptop I see in Dell's outlet is $579.00.

 

Does it definitely need to be a laptop? Many times you can get Towers for less.

Yes it would need to be a laptop since he doesn't have any room to keep a desktop His room is very small in size and theres just no where to put a desk and it won't fit on his dresser either thats where he has the tv and dvd player. Hmm maybe that one was bought.

I would also check the refurbished models at Overstock.com and Geeks.com. Their selection constantly changes, but you should be able to get several models for $400 or less, all of which would do what you need it to do.

Don't forget to check Craigslist.org for cheap used laptops.

 

I found a few between $150-$300. Buyer beware though make sure the laptop works and hopefully it's not stolen :)
