I just ordered one of these and would say good choice on the upgrades. I don't know if I would get SXGA+ again, but I would definately spring for TrueLife. The text is very small with SXGA+, and I had to spend a significant amount of time tweaking to make my wife happy.

The re-installation CD is also a must have in my opinion. There was a LOT of extra stuff installed on my system when I got it. I found it easier to just wipe it and start from scratch.

Make sure that you visit the Dell download site for your computer and grab your drivers first. :)

The upgrade to 1 GB is also reasonable at $65, since crucial.com sells a 512 stick for $60 and Dell's will be pre-installed and tested. (too bad it will be months before they have deals like this on the Core 2 Duo desktop systems :( )
