Big Smooth Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Seems like the GottaDeal RSS feed hasn't updated in a week or so... is there a problem with it? Or is it my reader? (it doesn't seem like that's the case because other feeds look fine...)
Brad Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 The one at http://www.gottadeal.com/rss.xml ? Looks updated here. In fact we use the RSS feed to display the last 20 deals on the main Black Friday page, and that's been working fine as well.
Big Smooth Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 Hmmm, must be my reader then. I'll delete the feed and reload it and see if that helps.
Big Smooth Posted November 18, 2004 Author Posted November 18, 2004 Yeah, for some reason, it works fine with Sage (an RSS plugin for FireFox) but the "RSS Headlines" feature of my.yahoo.com hasn't updated in 2 weeks. No biggie, must be Yahoo's problem.
ravana Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I have a live bookmark in FF of the feed and it never updates either
Brad Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Someone who is having problems, try this URL: http://www.gottadeal.com/rss2.xml According to FeedValidator.org, it is valid: http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http://www.gottadeal.com/rss2.xml
ravana Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Someone who is having problems, try this URL: http://www.gottadeal.com/rss2.xml According to FeedValidator.org, it is valid: http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http://www.gottadeal.com/rss2.xml You da man!
mrn8 Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Original RSS seems to be invalid, now. The RSS2 link works great, though.
Brad Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Yeah, I switched it to RSS 2.0. When we launch the new site design, we'll see about having other feeds in addition to this one, and will include the deal descriptions in the feeds as well.
