Alright, that time of year is approaching again.

So let's get it started.

What are you top 5 favorite Christmas Movies?

  • A Christmas Story
  • National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
  • Christmas With The Kranks
  • The Christmas Chronicles
  • The Santa Clause

Now mind you I have way more that I like but these are ones I never miss.

I can't put mine in order of favorites because I love them all.

Christmas Vacation

Elf

A House Without a Christmas Tree

Home Alone

A Christmas Story (although watching just once or twice during their 24-hour marathon is enough for me)

I also like the Christmas cartoons they show every year...Charlie Brown, Frosty, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer...all of them!

Elf

Home Alone 1 and 2

Christmas with the Kranks

Not sure if this would be my best but it is the first ones I like to watch every year.

Narrow it down to 5, huh?  OK, let's see...

White Christmas

Holiday Inn

The Santa Clause (all of them)

Miracle on 34th Street (old or new.  **Although, I guess the "new" one is old now. Wasn't it like 1994?)

Almost any adaptation of A Christmas Carol (bonus if it is musical :))

In no particular order, my favorite holiday movies are:

Muppet Christmas Carol
White Christmas
Arthur Christmas
Miracle on 34th Street (original)
Home Alone

Although this is a tv show, I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original animated tv special). It’s just not Christmas until I see it.

I can honestly say I've never seen Miracle on 34th Street. I hear a lot of people say they like it, I've just never sat down to watch it.

You have to watch it. I have loved it since I was a kid. I like the old one and the remake but it is a must see.

My wife hasn't seen many of the older movies either. Maybe this year we will make a weekend and watch a bunch of them.

Who wants to hear a fun fact?

Some of you know that I work in the motion picture business in theatrical exhibition.  It is getting hard to program Home Alone in theaters since 20th Century Fox is now owned by Disney.  I have talked to several theater bookers in the last month who have said it is getting harder to program Home Alone.  So if your local theater is showing it go see it.

I’m actually getting ready to watch the new one Home Sweet Home Alone on Disney+.
