Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Looking for a deal for boyfriend's mom! Any help is appreciated! Looking for codes free ship and flatscreen upgrade?
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Luckycharm, You came to the right place and I might have a coupon code or two I can give away for free. I just have a few questions to help us find the right deal for you: 1) What state will this be delivered to? 2) What's your budget?
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Indiana and $400-$500 if possible. I have a MIR for $100 on the 2400 series I believe? Already found to go through Mypoints, now am looking for the perks and thought of you!!!
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Can you provide a link to the MyPoints offer you saw? I may be able to save you 5% or more. Are you or your boyfriend a CitiBank credit card customer?
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 um the mypoints link takes you here:http://www1.us.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/odg_special49?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&redirect=1 That's just a bonus for points. the rebate I found is on the dell site: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/dimen_3000?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs& and thanks for asking cause I just found $100 Cable rebate for high speed too!
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 okay NO to the citibank card (crap card anyway )
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 You're welcome. I've used the $100 high speed internet rebate before, it's a great deal! Good news is that Dell Home does NOT collect sales tax in Indiana, only these states:Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Virginia, Missouri, California, Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan, Minnesota and Mississippi.
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Actually you saved me 6% there bud LOL! They raised our sales tax to 6% last January.
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Okay, talking it out here this is what I've come up with: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/dimen_3000?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs That's the puter Which is $549there's $100 MIR right off the bat on itThen Another $100 for Cable MIR2nd Burner upgrade FREEShipping FREENO sales tax on itandGo through MYpoints for 2 points per $ spent. Did I miss anything? Should be $350 for the puter after rebates plus free ship and I'll get 1000 points outta the deal?
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 You're quite good at this I would forget about the MyPoints because they're essentially worthless (IMHO). Open a new browser window and price the same system at Dell SB which will charge you sales tax. However I have two coupon codes (no they cannot be stacked) which may save you 10 - 25% off. Let me know what the price is.
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Rossman thank you hon, she is here right now and wants to stay with the HOME deal, the business one is a bit techie for her. She needs very basic. Yeah I'm a little DEVIL you know, I can do a deal just haven't done one in awhile and was afraid I'd miss something!
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 If you don't mind paying a little more Dell Small Business may have the better deal. I have put in bold the better specs: Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor (2.80GHz, 533 FSB) vs Intel® Celeron® D Processor 320 (2.40GHz, 533 FSB) FREE UPGRADE 512MB Dual Channel 400MHz DDR SDRAM vs 256MB DDR SDRAM at 400MHz FREE Dell 720 Color Printer 1 yr AE Service vs no free printer FREE! Single Drive: 48x CD-RW Drive (the Dell Home wins this one with dual) FREE 56k modem in Dell Home 15" flat panel LCD vs 17" CRT (Dell Home save $50 with no monitor), Dell SB upgrade to 17" LCD only $80 Dell Small Business 2 year warrranty vs Dell Home 90 day warranty. The 2 year warranty covers both the CPU and monitor! Your b/f's mother would be upset if her PC broke in 6 months and she had to pay to fix it, wouldn't she? With the Dell SB deal you get a standard 2 year warranty! Dell SB price for the above better configuration is $649 - $150 rebate - - $100 internet rebate - coupons I will PM you = possible better deal. If you don't care about specs and want dirt cheap, the Dell Home at $349 is a killer deal considering the 17" CRT and no sales tax. However the Dell Small Business deal:Intel Pentium 4 vs Celeron512MB RAM upgrade for free vs 256MBFREE color inkjet printer15" flat panel LCD or upgrade to 17" LCD for only $80 more!!!2 YEAR WARRANTY!!! I will PM you both Dell SB coupon codes right now, good luck!
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 It appears the Dell Small Business coupon code I was going to send you saves another $150 on certain Dell Dimension 3000 PC's. That's an amazing deal!
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 OMG redoing the entire thing!!! THANK YOU!
RossMAN Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 OMG redoing the entire thing!!! THANK YOU!You're welcome that's what we're here for to save you $$$ It's unfortunate the $150 off coupon didn't work but I still think the Dell Small Business is a better deal with P4, 512MB RAM, 15" LCD, FREE color printer and my favorite ... 2 year warranty. Here is a link to Dell SB rebates. When you save, you win!
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Thanks for your Help Ross! Much appreciated! Got the SB deal!
