I am seriously considering this for a few different reasons:

• Back in October 2004 this sold for $514 and now it's only $278.
• Free Basic Tivo is exactly that FREE, no monthly or lifetime fees.
  The only feature I would miss is the season pass.
• Super easy way to archive TV shows onto DVD without requiring a computer.

I seriously need to find a hot deal on a good player that will do that.
