What is your theme for your Christmas tree?

I'm so ready to change mine up!  I've been rotating a red/gold Mickey Mouse theme or a blue/purple/silver themed for the last 15 years.  I'm thinking about the after Christmas sales on grabbing some new stuff for a different theme next year.  Tell me what you like to do! :)

I have gingerbread and candy and candy canes. The last few years it's been transitioning a little more towards red and white and turquoise.

My entire house is actually in a gingerbread and candy theme.

Sometimes I do feel like I'm getting tired of it, but then I look at the cute little gingerbread men and smile (and I totally talk to them as I'm placing them on the tree). Also, I'm pretty committed to the theme, and it would be a pain (and expense) to change it. So I try changing it up a little every so often with new solutions in different colors or styles.

I don't really have a theme, unless you count the Christmas mice ornaments I collect. My kids usually give me a new one every year for my birthday. The oldest two started it when they were preteens and they are 35 and 36 now so I have a nice amount. The Hallmark Cookie cutter ornaments have Christmas mice in them.

So I have 3 trees.  One “normal” sized and 2 pencil trees.  I’ve Lso been collecting Hallmark ornaments since 1976 so I have tons of ornaments.  Too many really.  This year The big tree is all Hallmark snowmen, as it was last year.  One pencil tree is fdeckrated with faith-based ornaments and the other is just my favorite miscellaneous ornaments.

We put up 9 trees. My husband really loves Christmas

The main one has all the ornaments we have collected over the years. The dining room is Detroit Red Wings. The bathroom is rubber ducks. The kitchen has tractors. The landing has nutcrackers. The rest are generic ornaments.

I can get behind the Red Wings tree :)

Oh gosh!  I love the gingerbread idea!  I'd love to see a picture.  I can imagine how cute that would be!! :)

Haha!  Holy Moly!  9 trees?!  Are they all full size or some miniature trees?  I've thought about doing smaller trees in my boys' rooms to match their decor.  We have 4 boys 15,13, 7, and 10 months old.  That last one was a bit of a surprise and I can NOT get myself organized now, lol.  I'll be doing well just to get our one tree up this year  :runaway:

I always call ours a "Walk down Memory Lane" tree. It is ornaments that we have collected through the years that mean something to us. My son was obsessed with Toy Story (especially Woody) starting at age 2. He is now 23 and still puts all the Toy Story ornaments on the tree himself. I couldn't bear to give those up, I still see him being Woody day in, and day out! My daughter always has varied interest, she is one that will get rid of ornaments because they mean "nothing" to her, lol I love our tree and can't imagine having anything different in our family room. If I had room I would have a tree in every room! I do have a 6 ft. white artificial tree in my kitchen with only vintage ornaments on it. Love that tree as well!

We usually have 3 trees. The main tree is full of ornaments collected over 25 yrs. we usually have a white candy land themed tree. All candy and pastel ornaments. That tree kicked the bucket this year and I haven’t replaced it so that one might now happen this year. We have a small tree in the dining room with miniature ornaments that changed every few years.
