And, for customers wanting the best savings of the season earlier than ever, Walmart is promising an all-new Black Friday experience. The retailer will spread traditional Black Friday savings throughout the season and will have more deals available online. More details will be shared soon.

So it seems to have said a whole lot of nothing. They can add more people to their centers but that doesn’t help that the shipping companies are horrible.

Right.  Walmart announced that they [will] have a plan...

I received three orders this week.  Yesterday, I got a package from Amazon.  Box was savaged but well packed and there was no damage to the contents.  I reluctantly ordered two gallons of soy sauce and a half gallon of honey from Walmart.com.  The items shipped as two orders.  Both arrived at the same time on the same truck.  Boxes were somewhat damaged and the packing was ineffective, but the durable plastic product containers held up.  I got my Sling TV Anywhere DVR two days ago.  The box arrived undamaged (UPS), the DVR and antenna were carefully and securely packed in the box.  The individual packaging of the products was outstanding.

So, it can be done.  Just not by Amazon or Walmart these days.

I've watched the delivery drivers stand at the edge of the porch (not coming on it) and chuck the package towards the door. I've see the video from our Ring doorbell. This usually only happens when they don't see the car and think no one is home.

My son works for Wal-Mart.  He said that they will offer weekly deals segmented out like their normal BF ads.  So 1 week electronics, 2nd week clothes, etc.  (Not necessarily in this order).  There will be less stuff offered in the ad on BF.  No, he hasn't seen the ad yet.

Their goal is to move foot traffic from the stores (less in-person shopping) to online.

I expect many stores to follow and I also expect this to become the "new normal" for BF.

Tell him to sneak out some ads for us! haha. Doesn't have to be BF - any info like this is good.

Okay....Mastermind plan forming.....but it only will work if they TAKE DOWN THOSE BARRIERS TO GET IN THE STORE.

There are 2 Supercenters here and as of last week both entrances at both stores are open.  Plus no more one-way aisles.

I plan on going by there tomorrow. I hope that is the case.... Our barrier was the length of a tractor trailer. It was crazy to have to walk that far down just to get in when there was no wait.
