kunster Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I love to go out in the morning and wait in the cold but I was wondering if anyone knew if any websites will be matching their b&m's Black Friday specials... Thanks! Laura
Mike Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Most will not unfortunely b/c of stock issues and time zones. Any X hour sales will most likely be B&M only while I expect BB/CC/etc to have "web only" specials throughout the week if not the day of as well.
Brad Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 A lot of stores will match some of their BF deals. Many will lower the prices on Thanksgiving day, so you can get some stuff early. We'll have a complete list of items available online when the day comes, so just bookmark the site and you'll be set.
livingitup74 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Last year, Walmart had selected items on the website on Thanksgiving Day, as did Kohls. I always buy what I can online (especially if they offer free shipping). It is a savings for me on BF so I don't have to wait in as many lines. Rob
Brad Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I believe Sears is going to have many of their items available online as they put "also available at sears.com" next to most of the items in the ad. Plus they mention free shipping as well, so chances are you'll be able to get most of those deals without having to set foot in a store.
amdskip Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Last year Staples employees were encouraging shoppers to go to their web kiosk in the store to order items that they had run out of.
Brad Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 We will be keeping an updated real-time list on the main site (BF04.com) starting on Thanksgiving day. You won't miss it :)
RossMAN Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 where will the online list be??? As Brad said the list will be posted on Thanksgiving day on bf04.com It's a good idea to sign up for the e-mail list (lower right), so you will receive notification.
caednkat Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I actualy did all of my ToysRus Black Friday shopping online last year. The add was available online on Turkey Day, and the links on the add worked so I went ahead and ordered everything that day. My order was large enough that I got free shipping and was able to skip that store on Friday. mandi
DarkBluStarrySky Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Thanks for the info caednkat! There is no TRU around here, so I'm going to try that this year, hope it works as well this year as it did for you last year! Awesome! :)
jadedmomof2 Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Yep, I did TRU last year too. I only wanted one item(the GBA SP bundle) and my husband wasn't home from S.Korea yet, so I was very happy when I saw the price was valid online.
RossMAN Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Great info regarding TRU (Toys-R-Us) this forum is a wealth of information!
SynthDude2001 Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Hmm....this gives me some ideas. Perhaps, while camping out all night in front of Best Buy, we could use a friend's laptop, with my cell phone hooked up as a modem, to order stuff from other stores we might not get a chance to get to while they still have stuff in stock....:)
Guest ashbyyokosuka Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 WOW, this is GREAT to know. b/c i won't be able to get out and shop too early. my husband is in the military and has "duty" on Thanksgiving day (i don't care) and i was going to cook it the next day... and i live in a small town, so i have to DRIVE to a Target (which is the only other store besides Toys R Us that i wanted to get to) WOO HOO! Emilie oh, and this really IS a great site. is it active all year round?
venerdinero Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 A number of stores post special Thanksgiving Day deals online (and the few b&m that are open have great deals as well.). I think that some of these deals are posted at midnight on Wednesday. As many people are too busy to shop on Thanksgiving , many of these are very good deals that can be easier to get! Enjoy the holiday, but keep your eyes open! Also remember that some online BF deals MAY post as soon as midnight Thanksgiving night!!

Kapp Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 Does Best Buy offer any on-line deals that match the store's Black Friday offers? Thanks, in advance!
Steakgoddess Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Emilie i found this site from a scrapbooking site, too!
marksoccer Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 I wanna get the ATI AIW Radeon 9600XT at CompUSA, does anyone know if CompUSA has their bf deals online, in the full ad that I downloaded it says not all items are online. Does that mean you cant look at the specs of all items online, or not all the items in the ad have the same price online, or both. Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. If I could avoid hitting CompUSA on bf that would be awesome.
supershopper Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 I came over from a scrapbooking site too. Wonder if we all came from the same one that is currently #11 on the top scrapbooking sites?

Hopefully on Black Friday you can order that onlinehttp://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/click.php?id=636
