A friend of mine is looking for a digital camera for $200 or less. I'd like to find him a Canon A6** series for that price range, if possible. Let me know what you can find or feel free to recommend something else. Kodak and HP will NOT be considered, so don't waste your time on any of those.

Right now I can find a Canon A530, Case, 4AA rechargeables, and a 512mb SD card for under $200 at Amazon.com. Not sure if all the accessories are going to be necessary, but if anyone can find something better, I'd appreciate it.

Nikon, Sony, Olympus are brands I'd also be willing to go with.

I wish I could offer the $210 and $220 cameras as options, but he's resolute on the $200 price and nothing higher. For a small price difference, there's a lot better cameras available.

I have a Panasonic Lumix LZ2 with a 6x zoom which must actually be made by canon because my downloading thing pops up when I plug in my camera and it says Canon. It has the Mega optical image stabilization which is great for the really zoomed in pics! I never use digital zoom on any camera! It is worthless! The zoom is great on this camera! It takes awesome action photo's, beautiful portraits, sepia & black & whites, and it also takes video clips WITH audio and it will let you do the video recording until you run out of seconds left of time on your memory card. It has a large LCD screen but no optical viewfinder, the only downfall I've found so far. I use rechargable digital photo batteries though and they seem to really last quite awhile!

I love Olympus cameras, that is what my old one was but these new ones they have out for under $300 are NOT good at all. I have personally tried quite a few and would not recommend them at all. Here are just a few samples of my photo's with my Lumix:

Thanks for the links. He went with the A530, since he could get the camera, case, memory card, batteries, and charger for $200. It will suit him just fine, since it will mostly be used for eBay.

Great camera and that's a nice bundle. It should be more than adequate for his needs.
