Just some stats of all the people who have visited the site since we launched on 1/1/04:

Resolution:

1024x768 - 54.1%

1280x1024 - 22.4%

800x600 - 16.2%

Browsers:

IE - 76.4%

Mozilla - 17.1%

Netscape - 5.1%

OS:

Win XP - 71.7%

Win 2K - 14.7%

Win 98 - 5.1%

Mac OS X - 2.4%

Win Me - 2.4%

55.7% use WinXP with IE 6.0

Probably inline with most web sites, but I thought someone might be interested... :fedora:

The number of people with 800x600 resolution has been dropping. When we first started, that number was up around 25%. People must be buying new LCDs from all the hot deals on here and how have higher resolutions :)

The 1600x1200 is down around the 5% range.

I'd love to be able to design this site for strictly 2001fp users :)

I may in the future do something just for 1600x1200 resolution or higher - maybe just an alternate front page for the site or something...

If you organize your pages correctly with CSS and PHP includes or however you manage your content, it can be done without too much work. From a point of view of designing things, I prefer to just have one resolution I design for. Right now when I do any design, I design for 1024x768 keeping in mind it should still look decent on 800x600
