Does TRU price match their online store?

There is a bike I want to get for my son, in the ad it is $29.98, but online it is only $19.98. If I buy it online there is a $15 shipping fee. Wondering if I can print out the online and bring it in if they will pricematch it??

last time I checked, they would not. But price matching seems to vary from store to store. I would call and ask.

I am a former TRU employee.

 

TRU does not price match online prices listed on toysrus.com as it is a SEPERATE entity from Toys R Us stores. (it is actually amazon.com using the Toys R Us name)

 

(i know, it makes no sense!)

 

Edit: but, for $10 some managers may be flexible if they really want the sale and if your super duper nice when you ask.

That is true too.

 

I haven't worked there in about a year, so they may have changed some things (they REALLY like to do that there!)... but when I was there the price guarantee policy was that if the SAME item was featured in another retailer's ad then we would match that price. But we would not match any "every day lower price" of an item. It had to be in a sales paper. And we had to call that store to make sure they had it in stock. Otherwise, no price guarantee.

I called the 800 number and the lady said it was up to each store to decide and corporate had no definate decision. So I printed out the page and went to the store. I got the head lady who is "not so nice" and seemed she was in a worse mood today. She said they don't PM because shipping usually brings it to their price. I did end up buying the bike in the store because I would rather have it now for my son than wait a week+ to get it.
