shoptillidrop2
Hi. I recently signed up for Prime (mainly for the shipping, especially during BF and December.) I was looking at Amazon Music Unlimited but it seems expensive for me and my finances at this time. Then I looked at the prices again and it looks cheaper with a FireStick which I already use for TV, and looks much cheaper with an Echo. So does that mean if I buy an Echo Dot (at Kohls on BF) which I was already thinking of getting, that Music Unlimited would only be $3.99 a month? Would I be able to listen to this on my smartphone, my tv, or only through the Echo Dot? Sorry for all the questions.
Bopeep
With your Prime account, you can get 20% off Music Unlimited (reg $7.99/mo). If you buy an Amazon device, you get 3 months. I don't know if you would get the free months if you don't buy it from Amazon. I may be missing what you're seeing, but I don't think owning one of those devices will make the monthly rate cheaper. shoptillidrop2
This is what I was looking at:https://www.amazon.com/b?node=15451028011&ref=sv_dmusic_amu_flyout_echo It looks like that means I should be able to get it for $3.99 with my FireStick and my TV right now right? Or should I buy an Echo Dot and then would I get it for that price? I don't know, I'm confused.
Brad
It looks like the $3.99 rate is a limited membership that would only let you play the music on whatever one device you signed up with, such as the Fire TV Stick or Echo Dot. You wouldn't have access on other devices.
shoptillidrop2
OK, this is what I figured out in case anyone else is wondering. I can get it for $3.99 a month after my free trial month if I only listen to it on one device (an Echo or FireStick). So you were right once again Brad, thanks for all you do and for this wonderful site! Princess7915
When we bought our Echo and dots a few months ago - it was a Prime Day sale, I got an email offering me a four month trial for like a few dollars. We decided not to keep it for the regular $7.99 a month after the trial expired. Hubby pays for Spotify and that works with the devices. The music wasn't a bad deal - you can listen through your phone if you install the app, or listen on any echo-type device. He just prefers the Spotify that we already pay for. bethed
I have Amazon Music. I don’t pay anything... it is included with my prime membership. It is a limited version and I can upgrade it but I find that there is plenty of music Available with the free version.
