Asking for some suggestions from all you SUPER creative GottaDealers...

My kids are all grown now - so even though they get plenty of presents under the tree - their BIG gifts are now gift cards. I am looking for new ideas on ways to give them.

In the past I have decorated mini-lit Christmas trees with them, given them on each month of a calendar for the next year, rolled e-gift cards inside paper towel rolls, hidden within new wallets or purses, hid them inside of tea pots and hot cocoa packages, hid them within clothing gifts, wrapped them in a small package - wrapped within a bigger package - wrapped within a bigger package, etc. And this year - am kind of OUT of fresh ideas.

You've had lots of good ideas. Recently, we've been giving cash to our grown son (in addition to some gifts to open). Within his gifts and his sock presents, I fold up money of different denominations and hide them in his gifts. Fun to watch him try to look in every nook and cranny. I just have to try to remember the total, so he doesn't miss something. ;-)

Check on Pinterest, they've got some cute ideas for gift cards.

There are gift card and money mazes where you have to complete the ball maze to open it and access the gift card or cash.

There are also puzzle boxes.

I agree with the previous posters, Pinterest has cute ideas! I like the idea of a self care basket/mason jar. Nail polish, lotion, etc in a mason jar with a GC to get their nails done, a massage or a hair cut. A car care basket with car cleaning wipes, new windshield wipers and a GC for car washes.

You've done it a lot of great ways. The only thing I can think of is to have gift card bingo.

Last year our one grandson said he was lots of money. SO i took a 5 gal water bottle n filled it with 75 ones and 25.00 in change. We wrapped it whihc wasnt easy. Boy did he love that. He kept laughing. He had to work for that money. It kept him busy all evening. Of course I dont think his parents were impressed with the change but oh well. He loved it. lol

I have done the puzzle boxes which were a hit but hard to find big enough for cards. Had to go with cash for that

I was in the Christmas aisle at Walmart the other day and saw a bag of slime you put gift cards in. :)

Oh! That would be really great for the 14yo nephew that only ever wants digital money! (now let's see if I remember to look for it, since I literally never go to Walmart.)

My brother has wrapped nesting boxes with the last small box wrapped in strapping and duct tape. When I finally got it open, it was empty and he said "oh, I forgot... Here" and pulled a gift card out of his pocket. Tons of entertainment for him and the family wondering what was in all the boxes. Knowing my brother, I should have had him empty his pockets first!

I went and looked on Amazon for slime gift card holders. They had some in a jar, which reminded me that in my Michael's email this morning they advertised plastic jars to decorate and fill with slime! So I could make it, and put on a fun label. Thing is, the ones at Amazon were called things using snot and poo, and me and mama don't like to use those words (sister would be okay with it). So I'd have to get a little more creative.

There are fake gift boxes out there with weird names of things supposedly in the box.  You could get one of those and put the gift card in one of those.  You could do a scavenger hunt for the gift card. Hide them in insulated tumblers, a box of file folders, or even a pinata.  Anything little you can open can become a gift card holder so long as it is big enough for the card.  Take a picture of the family (or the store for the card - the looks you would get would be priceless) and hide it behind the picture (just make sure they find the card).

That's really cool stevierocks! :D

For those curious: Kitty in my pic is current furbaby, Mew, curled up in a box far too small for her. Ha! "If I fits, I sleeps!"

NASCAR fan (particularly JGR pit crews - many friends there), diehard UM Wolverine fan, animal lover, car girl, cookie baker, singer, bargain hunter. Yep. That about covers it. lol
