Guest DigDoug Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I'm looking for a ~sub $100 7200 RPM Hard Drive. Of course, the best price per megabyte is what I'm looking for.
mrn8 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 Hard Drive - 250GB - 7200rpm - $82.95 (no rebates) http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202153080 $5 off $50 for new customers

Guest DigDoug Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 It would be going in that Gateway I posted about earlier. I'm going to say IDE/ATA. PATA?? What is that?

Is there anything smaller with similiar price specs? She really doesn't need that much space.
RossMAN Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 How about 80GB IDE for $59.99 with no rebate hassles and local pickup?

Guest DigDoug Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Thanks Nate and Ross. I think the Seagate $40 AR is the winner!

The 80GB for $59.99 OTD that I mentioned is part of a sale 4/7 - 4/8 but it's a no name brand. The Seagate that Nate linked to is 160GB, 7200RPM, $39.99 AR and carries a 5 yr warranty. Thanks Nate and Ross. I think the Seagate $40 AR is the winner!Agreed!
