But with this I need a good photo program. I'm looking for something that you can change pics to black and white pics, with something in the picture staying in color. conj Posted April 18, 2006 Share Posted April 18, 2006 My dh is a graphic designer and uses all Adobe products for photo manipulation. I have a hard time learning the commands in adobe programs, so keep in mind, the buttons are not intuitive if you are used to microsoft programs... or at least if you are me... never mind. And Gimp, although it's free and many GottaDealers recommend it, is equally challenging as Photoshop. Personally, I use Macromedia's Fireworks, but at $299, it might be a little expensive for someone just getting their feet wet. Maybe something over here: http://www.photo-freeware.net will do what you want. They're all freebies. (I've never used Photoshop Elements, so I can't comment on it). I needed to spend around $30, so this is perfect, I am glad I was patient and didn't pay $60 (the other best price I found). I can handle waiting for the rebates, though I am always leery I am going to get screwed over by them somehow. Thanks firebird! My photo collection thanks you, too.
